Shen Mu took out Wei Suifeng's geographical chart and compared it with the layout of the Yunluo Palace. When he found the spot marked on the map, he saw only a field of rubble, empty of all else. Shen Mu frowned slightly. With a sweep of his hand, the rubble floated into the air and assembled itself into a great hall before descending slowly to the ground.
Shen Mu entered the hall and scanned the interior.
A fragmentary star chart covered the ceiling. He went beneath it and examined it closely. The chart was incomplete, making it difficult to discern what the whole had once looked like.
Shen Mu pondered for a moment. His primordial qi surged forth, transforming into stars that completed the chart.
He had some understanding of Wei Suifeng's Heavenly Dipper Dao Art. It too originated from the Grand Development Nether Devil Scripture, so restoring the star chart was no difficult task.
Once the chart had been completed, an object fell from it. It was a potted landscape.
Shen Mu reached up and caught it.
The planter was rectangular, containing miniature mountains and trees surrounded by water. Beside the central miniature mountain stood a tiny conifer pine, its aged branches twisted and gnarled.
Beneath it was a small house with a courtyard.
The house had three rooms on either side and three rooms in the central hall, complete with doors and windows. Through the windows, lamplight still shone from within. Stacks of papers lay upon the tables and chairs, beside a pot of tea whose cups still sent wisps of steam curling upward. "Ling Heavenly Venerable's manuscripts!
" Shen Mu's heart leapt. This was no ordinary potted landscape. Wei Suifeng had used spatial divine abilities to shrink Ling Heavenly Venerable's former residence and place it inside the planter. Ling Heavenly Venerable's residence had been exceedingly plain.
After her death, the Heavenly Court had moved away all her various manuscripts, even removing her former home.
Later, someone stole the residence. That person was Wei Suifeng. "At last, I have found Ling Heavenly Venerable's manuscripts!
" Shen Mu's heart pounded wildly as he looked toward the other rooms. Their manuscripts were as numerous as oxen and filled the rooms to overflowing.
Clearly, Ling Heavenly Venerable had expended an immense amount of effort researching the Dao of Creation and the Unchanging Divine Ability.
"With these manuscripts, I can comprehend Ling Heavenly Venerable's Unchanging Divine Ability and Creation Divine Ability.
I may even be able to work backward from the Unchanging Divine Ability to deduce the great Dao runes of the Egg of Primordial Beginning, and thereby break the Unchanging Divine Ability! "
