Chapter 707 — I'm Not Planning to Leave
Brother Lei was clearly taken aback by the sight. He had never imagined that a slip of a girl like Shen Yushu could unleash such a vicious move — and land it dead-on, folding Ma Bilin up like a shrimp.
A blow like that would leave Ma Bilin hurting for a long while; whether he would still be able to perform as a man was anyone's guess. Brother Lei's face darkened at once.
"Good. Very good. Spicy — but I like it." The way Brother Lei looked at Shen Yushu was thick with a lecherous hunger to conquer.
"Let us call today's business settled. I am in a good mood, so I won't do anything to you, and I won't be coming back here. What do you say?" Wei Zhao glanced at Brother Lei and spoke mildly. There was a condescending charity in his gaze — because in Wei Zhao's eyes, the man truly amounted to nothing.
Since Shen Yushu had already taught them a lesson, Wei Zhao had no intention of dragging things out with them any further. Today was supposed to be a celebration, and he did not want a few nobodies to spoil the mood.
"Huh?" Brother Lei was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing, staring at Wei Zhao as though at an idiot. Even Ma Bilin, hunched and crouching on the floor, could not help laughing — laughing with real delight, as if he had forgotten the pain in his body entirely.
"Brother Arrow, have they gone stupid?" Shen Yushu eyed Brother Lei and Ma Bilin oddly. How could a person suddenly laugh with such joy? Had something rattled their brains?
"Xiaoshu!" Gu Mengyao signaled for Shen Yushu to hold her tongue. Shen Yushu's earlier kick had complicated matters, and there was no telling whether this could end well. Gu Mengyao did not want to waste time tangling with these people; she had sincerely wanted to treat Tang Yun to a meal.
"Oh, I get it!" Shen Yushu cried suddenly in dawning understanding. "They're laughing because Brother Arrow said he'd let them off, so they're overjoyed — that's why they're laughing so hard!"
Gu Mengyao, Wei Zhao, and Tang Yun all had to fight back smiles at that. Wei Zhao and Gu Mengyao were used to her by now, but only at this moment did Tang Yun truly understand what Gu Mengyao had said in the car: that was simply Shen Yushu's nature, and the more time you spent with her, the better you would understand.
She really was a joyful girl, cheerful at every hour, without the slightest trace of tension.
"Little girl, your lame joke isn't funny." Brother Lei clapped his hands. "Today, none of you are leaving."
The instant Brother Lei clapped, a crowd of burly men in black suits came running up and encircled Wei Zhao and his three companions in a ring. One of them, a scar-faced man who seemed to be their leader, turned respectfully to Brother Lei. "Brother Lei, what do we do now?"
"Cripple the man and throw him out. Knock the women unconscious and keep them." A savage light came into Brother Lei's face. His own Western restaurant had been wrecked — if word of that got out, he would have no place in this business ever again.
"Oh, they've called in reinforcements. In cartoons the villains always do that after they get hit. But do you know what happens when you do that?" Shen Yushu asked suddenly.
The whole dining hall had been thick with tension, but after that one remark from Shen Yushu, everyone's face took on a strange expression, and the atmosphere was suddenly not so tense at all.
Wasn't this girl afraid? With so many men standing there, how did she still have the heart to talk such nonsense?
"Little girl, you've got a nice big chest. I like that." Brother Lei looked at Shen Yushu and licked his lips. "I'll tell you the consequence: you are going to be my plaything."
Brother Lei was no fool, and he did not dare toy with just anyone. But Ma Bilin had already told him the four had arrived in a Beetle — what kind of background could they possibly have? If it had been two of them, he might have hesitated; but four, and surely none of them but the man had a car. What son of privilege went without a car? Besides, Brother Lei knew all the young masters of note in Songshan City, and he had never seen Wei Zhao. So he had no scruples at all.
"Bang!"
While Brother Lei was speaking, Shen Yushu suddenly lashed out with her foot, striking the scar-faced man who had her surrounded square in the same spot. The scar-faced man had been turning to look at Brother Lei, and caught off guard, he took Shen Yushu's kick head-on; his eyeballs nearly shot from their sockets, and with a great howl he clutched himself and dropped into a crouch on the floor.
"Oh, oh, oh! Hit again! These guys really are worse than sharks — they're total weaklings!" Shen Yushu cheered. "Sister Yaoyao, come play too, it's so much fun!"
Brother Lei's face turned grim. This was a provocation — in front of all these men, Shen Yushu still dared to strike at his people, which meant she had not put him in her eyes at all. He gave a cold laugh. "No more wasting words on them. Go straight in. If the women resist, put them down too."
Gu Mengyao gave Shen Yushu a helpless look. The girl was making things worse and worse. Thank goodness Wei Zhao was here; at least she was not worried they would fail to get out.
"You really won't let us leave?" Wei Zhao glanced at Brother Lei.
"Ha? Do you know who I am? On Li Dilei's turf, no one has ever walked out on his own two feet!" Brother Lei laughed arrogantly. "Today you are all staying here, especially that girl! I don't mind telling you — my cousin is Li Cihua. Weigh your own worth. If you're smart, the girl serves me well, and you kneel and beg me, and I might consider letting you crawl out of here!"
"Your cousin is Li Cihua?" Wei Zhao was a little surprised. No wonder the two brothers had been given such punchy names — one Cihua, Sparkler, and one Dilei, Landmine. One ran the Awesome Floating Cloud Bar, the other the Super-Flashy Western Restaurant. A perfect match.
"Scared now, are you?" Brother Lei savored the feeling. Every time he dropped his cousin's name, the people who came here would wet themselves with fright, and they would offer up their women for his amusement of their own accord. That was what he wanted this time too — he wanted those three girls to serve him willingly. Force was no fun.
"Oh, I'm not planning to leave." When Wei Zhao heard that this man was Li Cihua's cousin, he decided he would not leave. Li Cihua and Young Master Bing had been kicking up quite a fuss lately, and Wei Zhao had not yet settled accounts with them. They kept jumping out again and again — and Gu Mengyao's poisoning was probably not unrelated to Li Cihua either.
