Chapter 147 — The Long-Awaited...

Years of Heartflutter Page 331 of 501

Yang Ce was still watching Wang Yanqiu throw the dagger away, his heart in his throat, not yet recovered, when he felt his lower body engulfed in warmth—accompanied by a soft cry from Wang Yanqiu.

Though it felt wonderful, Yang Ce was suddenly overcome with a sense of defeat. Today really was a failure.

"You get down. I get on top." Yang Ce could not take it anymore; he had to reclaim his lost dignity. He felt he had done the most fucked-up thing of his entire life today. Son of a bitch—if word of this got out, his heroic image would be ruined forever.

So Yang Puqi rolled over and pinned Wang Yanqiu beneath him. "Wait—it hurts a little." After a few thrusts from Yang Ce, Wang Yanqiu suddenly grabbed him and made him stop. "You'd better get down. I can control the force myself—otherwise it hurts too much."

Yang Ce rolled his eyes and once again let Wang Yanqiu take the high ground. Cherishing the fair and tender was one of Yang Juehuan's fine virtues; since Wang Yanqiu had said so, Yang Shuoxuan had no choice.

But before long, Wang Yanqiu could bear it no longer. Her breathing grew rapid, she clung tightly to Yang Ce, gave a loud cry, and slumped limply onto Yang Juehuan's body.

Yang Mo looked at Wang Yanqiu, somewhat puzzled. Surely this girl hadn't finished that quickly? "Why did you stop?"

"Stopped?" Wang Yanqiu replied lazily. "What, are you not done yet?"

"Damn, you take me for a quick-shot artist? It hasn't even been ten minutes." Yang Mo was caught between laughter and tears.

"Ah?" Wang Yanqiu was taken aback. "I think I'm done. Why are you so slow?"

"Slow?" Yang Ce broke out in a sweat, thinking, this girl is far too sensitive—finishing that fast?

"I read in books that it's usually the man who finishes first," Wang Yanqiu said, somewhat suspiciously. "Why are you so troublesome? I'm tired, so you wait a while."

With that, she went on lying lazily on Yang Juehuan's body without moving a muscle.

Yang Ce gritted his teeth in fury. Damn it, this had to be the most failed assault in the history of the world. If anyone ever found out, they would laugh their teeth out.

Holding Wang Yanqiu's soft body, Yang Ce wanted to continue, yet could not quite bring himself to. Ah—who told him to have a heart softer than tofu? Of course, that was only toward women. Toward an enemy, Yang Ce would have smashed his head open with a single punch long ago.

After resting for quite a while, Wang Yanqiu lazily stretched, her face still flushed: "It hurts a lot. Let's call it off this time—next time I'll let you be on top."

Though it hurt somewhat, Wang Yanqiu thought the sensation was not bad—at least far more comfortable than doing it with her own hand.

"So what am I supposed to do now?" Yang Ce deliberately moved, letting Wang Yanqiu feel that he was still standing firm.

"So annoying." After every release, Wang Yanqiu grew very sleepy and wanted to sleep—just so now, drowsy and unwilling to move. Seeing Yang Ce pestering her, she grew a little impatient. "I'll help you with my hand in a bit. Don't bother me—I'm going to sleep for a while."

Yang Xu was speechless. Watching Wang Yanqiu's eyes snap shut as she drifted into dreamland, he thought, this girl really is a piece of work. Best not to be her enemy—otherwise he really would find himself unable to go through with it.

Yang Ce sighed, turned the car's heater up a notch. Wang Yanqiu was unclothed, and fearing she would catch cold, he took his own coat and draped it over the two of them.

He did this also to keep Wang Yanqiu from being exposed—how awful it would be if someone in a passing car saw her. Only, his relationship with Wang Yanqiu had become rather difficult to handle.

Looking at the spots of blood on his thigh, Yang Ce knew Wang Yanqiu had not lied to him—she and he really were her first time. And what did Wang Yanqiu mean by saying she could only be his lover for four years?

Yang Ce shook his head. There were simply too many secrets about this girl. Having rashly gotten involved with her, he truly did not know whether it was right or wrong. As things stood, he could only take it one step at a time.

Yang Ce was even a little afraid—afraid that the organization behind Wang Yanqiu would end up on the opposite side from him. But judging from Wang Yanqiu's attitude toward him, she seemed not to know that the Black Widow organization was out to make trouble for him.

Could it be that Wang Yanqiu had nothing to do with the Black Widow organization?

By now it was deep into the night. Yang Ce had not slept well the night before either, and in his drowsiness he held Wang Yanqiu and sank into a deep sleep.

Chen Afu pedaled his bicycle while glancing behind him, terrified that Yang Ce would catch up. Fortunately, Yang Ce seemed to have been delayed by something and did not continue the pursuit. Chen Afu breathed a sigh of relief.

It was all because the Right Elder had urged him too hastily, insisting he retrieve the corpse at this critical juncture. Chen Afu knew the Right Elder's fearsome power and dared not disobey. Once Yang Juehuan's figure had vanished behind him, he began scheming again about how to accomplish the Right Elder's task.

At the same time, in a secret chamber on the outskirts of Songjiang, the Right Elder sat in the side seat, while the seat of honor was occupied by a masked man—none other than the "boss" whom Zheng Shaopeng had spoken of back in Macau.

To be continued.

951. Turning Against a Friend

"How did the matter go?" the masked man asked in a strange, hoarse voice, distorted beyond recognition.

"That girl of the Lan family is cunning. She's with that old crone, her grandmother, and they're hiding well. My people have searched every inch of Shennongjia and still found no trace of them," the Right Elder said.

"How long has it been? Your efficiency is far too low," the masked man said with some displeasure.

"Don't take that tone with me. I am not your subordinate—we are merely partners," the Right Elder said, also somewhat displeased at being reprimanded.

"But I've paid," the masked man snorted. "Your original goal was to wipe out the Lan family as well. I merely provided you with a large sum of funds so you could finish the job quickly, yet you drag your feet. Whatever you do, don't ruin my grand plan."

"Hmph, you have your grand plan, and we have no grand plans of our own?" the Right Elder said. "We are more anxious than you are, but these things must be settled step by step."

"There has to be a deadline," the masked man said impatiently.

"Once my evil gu is fully cultivated, that will be the day of reckoning for the Lan family," the Right Elder said with a cold laugh.

The masked man waved his hand, having no interest in hearing about evil gu or the like—nor did he understand such things. He only said, "The money for this round has already been transferred to your account. I hope you won't just take the money and do nothing. Otherwise, heh heh, I'm not someone to be trifled with either."

The Right Elder naturally knew this fellow before him was no pushover. His ambitions seemed even greater than his own—one could say the two of them were now birds of a feather, cooperating toward similar ends.

And the masked man was his god of wealth. How could the Right Elder possibly afford to provoke him? It was just that eliminating that Lan girl was truly no simple matter.

"Rest assured, our organization will do its utmost as well." Hearing that the money had arrived, the Right Elder's face immediately broke into a smile.

Their sources of income were limited, and that fellow Yun Guangdu had betrayed the organization, making their finances even tighter. Fortunately, the masked man had sent coal in the snow, taking charge of the organization's expenses.

The masked man nodded, then waved his hand and said, "All right, you may go back. I hope my money proves well spent."
